The Living Canvas:

This was an installation that my Student Teacher classmates and I had put up in the
gallery of the National Institute of Education, NIE. After some brainstorming,
I am grateful that they have all voted to realise this exhibition idea, which I have came
|
up with for our group project. The theme is related to
Land Art (or Environmental Art) |
It is also a piece of minimalist living artwork.

I am also grateful that we have members in our team who drive and are streetwise as
they helped to take care of the logistics. For weeks, we soaked the pea shoots seeds (豆苗)
in a classroom then transferred then into boxes once they started to sprout into seedings.
After some time, we unboxed these young seedings and planted them on the gallery floor.
Daily consistent farming and watering became a huge toil on top of our heavy studyload.

Around a month later, the lines of early planted pea shoots closest to the window
were ready for harvest by the time for our assessment. We invited everyone in NIE
to share our harvest with a publicity poster that my team member had designed.
This had been a super memorable and exiciting teamwork!
We were the happiest when everyone in our team received an A grade! ^ - ^
